Monkeyland primate sanctuary, in South Africa, is the World`s first fre-roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary. Monkeyland is home to more than 450 primates. The primates are not in cages, they actually free-roam the sanctuary`s Tsitsikamma-type forest. No cages here! How awesome! When you visit you are taken on a monkey safari by rangers who are super knowledgeble about primates. This is fun for the whole family, no matter the age group. Monkeyland can also be visited during any weather because the monkeys really don`t care when it rains! Also visit the bird sanctuary or bird park next to Monkeyland. It is huge! Over 3500 birds live there and the actually fly free. There are no cages! The bird sanctuary is called Birds of Eden and it is right next to the Monkeyland sanctuary.
