Journey East is a furniture store set up in 1995 and has been one of Singapore's premier destinations that offer solid recycled teak wood furniture. Our furniture is crafted from eco-friendly sources, such as teak wood that is reclaimed from old Javanese buildings and railway sleepers. Our collections also use other interesting eco-friendly sources such as recycled fishing boat wood, recycled pipes as well as recycled vehicle license plates in the construction of the furniture. Besides being an oil-rich natural hardwood, old recycled teak has been exposed to the elements for thirty years or more. The result is a beautiful tight grain, as well as a unique story for each and every one piece. We believe in beauty in imperfection, and are happy to bring this story to your home, restaurant, hotel or office.
