Oliver Jackson is a professional Dubai photographer providing services to architectural, industrial, commercial, and aviation clients across the Middle East. Dubai, dusty and hazy for much of the year, makes for a demanding shoot at the best of times. Much of my work is shot during the 'magic hour' after sunset and just before sunrise, when ambient light levels are balanced against the architectural lighting of the buildings themselves. This means that most buildings are best shot for an hour or two over several days, taking advantage of optimum light and weather conditions. I typically shoot with a mixture of prime lenses, and perspective-correcting 'tilt-shift' lenses, which enable me to minimise perspective and distortions.
