Coin operated (Coin-Op) arcade games have been around for more than 30 years and don’t seem to be headed out anytime soon. Despite there being a lot fewer arcades now than ten years ago, there are still plenty of arcade games at amusement parks, carnivals and even large shopping centers. Older coin-op arcade games are even viewed as cool and retro and many people with expendable money will purchase them and put them in a bonus room or game room within their home. Pac-Man, Asteroids and Spy Hunter are all retro favorites that can be found in homes and arcades throughout the world. Coin-Op games are still popular due to their cheap cost – usually either $0.25 or $0.50 – and there high value as far as game play goes. You can spend as little as 25 cents and play for up to an hour if you are good at the game. In our directory on coin-op games we will offer up links to every coin-op game made during the last 30 plus years and links to sites that review those games based on value, fun factor and ease of use. We will also offer up resources on how much coin-op games are worth in the 21st Century and let you know which are good investments and which aren’t. For those of you that simply want to find the locations closest to your home that feature coin operated games we will offer up directions and information on those locations.
