We have a unique and different approach to chiropractic at Specific Chiropractic of SC. To understand the difference, it might be important to first explain what a traditional chiropractor does. The traditional chiropractor works to reduce pain, ease muscle soreness, and improve mobility. Those are good, helpful goals. What we do, however, differs in several important ways. We work to improve the underlying structure of the body. Often, when the structure of the body has shifted, the body will be impacted. The initial problem is what we call a structural shift. It represents a distortion of the body's normal structure outside of the normal range. It is a primary condition. Once the structural shift has occurred, it will lead to one or many of what are called secondary conditions. Among these secondary conditions are the above-mentioned pain, muscle soreness, and reduced mobility. But it will also lead to other secondary conditions that the traditional chiropractor does not address. By improving the structural shift alone, we are able to allow the body to begin to recover from the secondary conditions naturally.
