The Waukesha area is one of the nicest places to live, work, play and visit in Wisconsin. The area is just west of Milwaukee and is considered a suburb of Milwaukee. Waukesha and the other smaller cities, villages and towns have a small town atmosphere but big city conveniences. Plus, the County is filled with 33 major lakes that provide outdoor activities and scenic beauty. The area is more upscale living but there are more affordable living options. The schools are some of the best in the country. Living here is quiet and private. You can get to the big city of Milwaukee in less than a half hour and Chicago is an hour and a half away.
