A new method for concrete mix proportioning has been proposed by Warda Binte Ashraf, Lecturer, CE Dept, BUET, which is based on “5-10-14-18” and “5-10-18-22” band gradations using the locally available aggregates in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The objective of this research is to apply the proposed mix design method for aggregate of size 1/2` and 1` to investigate the fluctuation in their key features (Compressive Strength, Slump, W/C ratio, Water Content (kg/m3), Cement Content (kg/m3), Total Aggregate Content (kg/m3), Fine aggregate (kg/m3), Coarse Aggregate (kg/m3)) for using different sizes of aggregates. Another objective of this research is to compare the target strength and slump from the prescribed mix design method, with the actual strength and slump which will be get from laboratory test. For this research purpose following data will be collected (for size 1/2` and 1”) to fulfill above objectives and will be programmed which will provide required mix design values with respect to the prescribed method.
