Eastlit was launched in 2012 as a monthly online journal to publish literature focused on East Asia and Southeast Asia. Since then South Asian literature has been added. Eastlit encourages new and local writers and helps to showcase their work. Since 2012 hundreds of poets and writers have had their first ever publication in Eastlit. There are also more established writers and poets featured in Eastlit as an attempt is made to include all across this Asian diaspora as the writings of the region assume their place alongside the great works produced in the more traditional locations. We encourage writers, poets and artists of all backgrounds and countries who are focusing on Asia to submit work for consideration by the Eastlit editorial board. We hope that we also provide a variety of interesting literature and artwork for our increasing readership.
