Ho Baron's surreal sculpture reflects the Jungian archetypes from the collective unconscious: the mother, father, child, and gods and goddesses of ancient religions. His visionary method begins, not with a drawing or model, but with an idea deep within the unconscious. His intricate motifs are purely his own and the resulting anthropomorphic figures of human/animal male/female only exist elsewhere in dreams and mythology. Whimsical or grotesque, the creations challenge our views of ourselves and society. Baron creates in clay and casts in bronze, cast stone or resin. A producing artist for over 30 years, Baron's satirically names his body of work "Gods for Future Religions."
