When I was a young boy I experienced the scariest thing I thought possible. It was death. I got a brain tumor known as an oligodendroglioma and I was only six years old, so you can imagine the things that went through my head. I didn't know what to think because I simply didn't understand what was really going on. It also changed my entire life and the way I think even today. When you face something like that at such a young age, thinking about the future becomes important, whereas many kids don't give a thought to tomorrow. The good part is that I never made the typical stupid teenager decisions like drinking, smoking, and drugs. The down side is that I was too careful and often missed out on fun things like skiing and cliff jumping.
