Indian Board of Alternative Medicines (Department of Distance and Continuing Education) is an internationally recognized Government registered institution of health and alternative medicine. The Board conducts a range of internationally recognized programmes in alternative medicine - diploma, bachelor degree and postgraduate degree and diploma programmes. The Board established in the year of 1991 has now reached a milestone unmatched by any other. International Conference and Awards Presentation Ceremony on Health and Alternative Medicine is a unique event organized by I.B.A.M. bringing practitioners from over the world together to discuss critical health and environmental issues. The Board has been a regular contibutor to several fund raising plans initiated by the Government helping each cause significantly. The Board maintains a charitable clinic in Calcutta open to all wherein patients of all caste, creed and religion are treated with utmost care without any consultation fee.
