What happens if a Photographer meets an Animator? Lookslike.ca! Initially, Lookslike.ca was created as a way to share Ian Bradshaw’s photography. After 20 years doing commercial work, Ian decided to share his photographs of Canadian landscapes, European architecture and city scenes in form of cards and fine art prints. Being one of the first to offer giclée prints in the downtown Toronto area, he soon grasped the concept of using digital imaging and fine art canvas printing for artwork reproduction. Paintings are digitized (photographed or scanned), then color proofed and printed on canvas. After drying, they are hand-painted with an acrylic finish, which emulates brush strokes, and finally, they are stretched on a wooden frame. With the addition of Karin’s animation and design skills, the possibilities expanded to include photo retouching, architectural rendition and graphic design. Now located in Waterdown, Lookslike.ca continues to serve the GTA with photography printing and graphic design.
